Questions & Answer

Q:  Will the animals figure out how to get through it?
A: The second they rub on it, it will move a little bit so they back away from it.

Q:  Will it hurt the underside of my vehicle when I drive through?
A:  There is very little pressure on the rods when it is in the down position so it will tickle the bottom of your vehicle and that's it.

Q:  Can I control the speed that it comes back up at?
A:  You can change the tension by adjusting the springs or the telescoping tubing.

Q:  How do they break down for shipping?
A:   All the sizes break down into a crate for shipping.

Q:  What do they weigh?
A:  The 6 footer is 300 lbs. the 14 footer is 800 lbs. and the 16 footer is 850 lbs.

Q:  Does it freeze down in the winter.
A:   If you keep the snow clear of it, our experience is that you will have no trouble.

Q:  Do I need to do anything special when installing the gate?
A:  You must make sure the site is levelled decently.  If you are installing the larger gates it is best to have gravel under the pads that you drive over.  In cattle yards and feedlots, where frequent entry is required, a good 6-8 inch gravel base should be applied.

Q:  Will they work for irrigation pivots to drive over?
A:  Yes they work for this very well.  Depending on how deep your ruts are, you typically have to remove that same depth of dirt, insert gravel and then put the gate on top of that.  This keeps the gate on solid ground and from sinking into the mud.

Q:  Where can I get one?
A:   Call and we'll get you in touch with your closest dealer.  1-800-667-7420 or E-mail: remsales@rem.sk.ca
